For our trip to Perak with Gaya Travel and Tourism Perak, we resided at two boutique hotels which were the M Roof Hotel & Residences as well as the M Boutique Hotel.. both which were part of the M Boutique Hotel group and equally lovely… I swear I do not know which one if my favourite…
M Roof Hotel & Residences is more of an urban business class sized hotel, located just about 4 km from Ipoh Parade.
Every room at this hotel is air-conditioned and is equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, minibar and coffee/tea making facilities.
The pretty black and white themed attached bathroom came with rainshower and hand held shower facilities, bidet and hairdryer.
If you are like me, and love slipping into hotel bathrobes, yes, there are bathrobes and slippers available…
There is a 24-hour reception at the lobby with friendly staff. There are also meeting/banquet facilities at M Roof Hotel & Residences.
It is said that the hotel has a rooftop pool but it was under renovation so I did not get to see it or take a pic of it…
The hotel comes with complimentary breakfast and you can choose to enjoy your breakfast at the on-site restaurant, Old Town Grand, which serves a selection of Asian and Malaysian favourites or well, go for a healthier alternative The Morning After with Muesli or sandwiches or eggs benedict served with some really good coffee…
Address – Jalan Dato Lau Pak Kuan, Taman Ipoh, 31400 Ipoh
The other hotel we put up in was the M Boutique Hotel, one of the top boutique hotels in Perak.
This hotel actually mesmerizes me.. and comes in 3 special themed floors: –
The Adventure Theme – which is inspired by safari-themed furnishings, The Majestic Theme – which is more “raw, industrial, concrete”, and…
…The Excelsior Theme – inspired by butterflies and beetles.
Our room was slightly smaller then the one at the M Roof Hotel & Residence but the decor and furnishing were certainly pretty interesting…
This unique boutique hotel actually even has an in-house boutique with custom made products…
And again when it is breakfast time, we are spoiled for choice between the Old Town Kopitiam there or the fushion Japanese type bar/eatery….
And psst… they even have a gym, a business centre and a laundry which is totally complimentary.. it goes without saying since we had time to kill since I was an early riser, I took my dirty laundry from the trip down to the laundry room and had them all fresh and clean in a couple of hours…
