Since next year will be Visit Johor Year 2020, industry players from Johor will be making their presence felt at the 16 booths operated by Tourism Johor under Johor Pavilion in Hall 5..

Johor which is one of my top 5 favorite states in Malaysia has so much to offer, with its rich heritage and culture, pristine islands and beaches, eco tourism, shopping, hotels as well as irresistibly delicious cuisine..

Currently ranked Top 2 of the Most Visited States in Malaysia by Tourism Malaysia with a record of 7.8 million arrivals in 2018, Johor is lauded as one of the top tourism destinations in Malaysia and recognised by international tourist markets such as Singapore, Indonesia, China, Philippines, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia and the UK…

Tourism Johor also introduced their Visit Johor 2020 logo and mascot at the event.. The main element in the word Johor is where the J is visualised as part of the Gambus, which happens to be a traditional musical instrument in Johor, usually accompanying the Zapin, Ghazal, Samrah, Qasidah performances… Then there is also an illustration of the Laman Mahkota Istana Bukit Serene’s arch, which is one of the main attractions in Johor as well…

The tiger mascot signifies the Harimau Malaya as the main character, which also brings the meaning of bravery and the spirit of freedom and his name is “Joh”…
