So yours truly had the opportunity to check into the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel recently just before Christmas..
The hotel is pretty easy to access with the Dang Wangi LRT and Medan Tuanku monorail station just mere minutes by walking…
Besides, that, just opposite the hotel is the Quill City Mall, where you can shop…
Anyway, the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel has just gone through some refurbishment and upgrades and has increased its room inventory to 398 rooms to offer guests a collection of Deluxe Rooms, Club Rooms, and Suites, all refreshed with bright and contemporary finishing…
The redesigned spaces combine traditional grandeur with modern simplicity, creating an atmosphere of refined elegance any discerning traveler would enjoy…
Sheraton Imperial Hotel’s lobby is grand, and classy…. And checking in was a breeze, made easy with the efficient Fairoz’s assistance…
He quickly checked me in and took me all the way to my room to ensure everything was OK…
The security was good with the excess card security features that only allows you access to your designated floor…
I was given the deluxe room with twin beds and I also requested for an extra bed since my two close friends were staying over too…
One would have thought the room would be pretty cramped with the extra bed… But to my surprise, upon checking in, the 42sqm/452sqft room was just absolutely spacious even with the extra bed eating into the space near the window…
The pillowtop mattress, featherbed, and duvet guaranteed the Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience which was almost akin to sleeping on a fluffy cloud… (that is if you can actually sleep on those clouds)
Then there’s the 55 – inch Smart TV from which you can binge-watch your Netflix or tune into other TV channels available… And I have to say as a traveler on the go, I truly appreciated the ample plug points, USB ports and universal plug points for me and my friends to charge our devices without having to take turns or fight over it….
The walk in closet is a dream and also doubled as my changing room when my friends were around, and the ensuite sleek peach marble bathroom occupied…
The bathroom was yet another admirable and indulgent feature in the room with a cool bathtub to soak in, makeup mirrors with lights, robes and slippers…
And when it came to dining in the hotel, you are definitely spoiled for choice…
There is the charming Pavilions Lounge, located up the grand staircase from the lobby or accessible via the elevators on the Mezzanine floor..
The Pavilions Lounge is now a classy library-styled bar area with built-in wine cellar and cigar humidor. Striking a perfect balance with its carefully selected interiors, this quiet corner inspires an intimate environment for discussions and informal meetings around the golden dome bar.
Then there is Essence, located on the 1st Floor of the hotel, the main general restaurant where you can have one of the most indulgent breakfast buffet around…
Then there is the pretty Celestial Court, Sheraton’s awarded Chinese restaurant which is kind of hidden away behind an eye catching indoor gazebo….
If it was not for the signage, I would have not known there was a spacious and such an aptly named Celestial Court there… Like all Chinese restaurants, expect to find typical big round tables…
The restaurant also offers private dining rooms for small events and celebrations.
The dim sum and other Chinese cuisine served here is definitely drool worthy and perfect for celebratory banquets, corporate functions, and gatherings with family and friends.
Then there is the Villa Danieli, a standalone Italian restaurant that recreates the Tuscany villa dining experience has welcomed a new chef, Federico Bozzo from Genoa, Italy to interpret traditional Italian dishes while using local Malaysian produce…
Do not forget to check out the pretty well equipped gym, behind the Mandara Spa, and the swimming pool for your recreational activities if you want to break out a sweat or two or have a leisure soak and swim…
And of course… If you are feeling self indulgent, you really have to check out the spa treatments by Mandara Spa which is second to none… More on dining and spa in my next few posts, so thanks for dropping by…..
