Hotel Review 2022 – One World Hotel Petaling Jaya

So recently yours truly and her best friends were over at the One World Hotel….

The One World Hotel is an elegant 438-room 5-star hotel, located in the heart of Petaling Jaya adjacent to the biggest mall in Malaysia, award winning 1 Utama Shopping Centre – 7th largest mall in the world and one of Malaysia’s most successful shopping centres showcasing more than 650 retail outlets, AirRIder – indoor skydiving, FlowRider – indoor surfing, Camp5 – Asia’s Premier indoor rock climbing gym, 2 cinemas with 20 screens and a 36-lane bowling alley.

The One World Hotel is strategically located in the heart of Petaling Jaya’s business and commercial district, at the fringe of Kuala Lumpur…

Stepping foot inside the hotel everytime makes me catch my breath as this 20-storey hotel is embellished in numerous Asean artefacts from carved wood furnishing to opulent Crema Valencia marble with white and greyish grained marble border finishing…. Then there’s the figured sycamore wall panelling featuring four spectacular panels of chandeliers hanging on steel cables which just sets an awesome backdrop of opulence and grandeur when evening falls and the evening lights are turned on…

Checking in is a breeze as the front office staff are all professionals but in a friendly manner..

My friends and I were allocated the Junior Suite, which has a curved floor plan, and a different bedroom at the other end as well as an adjoining deluxe room with connecting door…

There is a big L-shaped sofa in the suite and a stylish sloped chair with a leg rest facing the 50-inch LED TV in the suite, which quickly became our landing area…

The other end of the living area is a working desk complemented by an ergonomic high back leather chair, for a comfortable work area which came in handy for us as we took turns doing some work there…

In the bedroom is a super comfy king-size bed with ample pillows and yet another armchair and leg rest…

The bathroom came with a nice old fashioned bathtub perfect for luxuriating in and a separate shower to refresh under and of course, the toilet area…

Our junior suite came with glass windows almost end-to-end…. But my view was of the top of the mall and some parts of Taman Tun Dr Ismail…

One World Hotel has a variety of guest rooms selections from the Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Executive Deluxe Room, Junior Suite, Premier Suite and Executive Suite…

As we were staying at the Junior Suite, we also got the privilege to enjoy the benefits provided at the Peridot Club Lounge which is located on level 1 of the hotel….

The Peridot Club is an exclusive and private area which is perfect for some quiet reading or meeting up business associates… You can be pampered by an array of light refreshments, canapés and evening cocktails, in addition to complimentary breakfast and exclusive check-in and check-out by the Club Purser. Two workstations with computer access, a massage chair and a meeting room are also available for the exclusive use of guests….

One World Hotel comes with a spa, a fitness centre, and two swimming pools, all located on level 2…

The fitness centre features fully fitted high-performance fitness equipment, infrared sauna rooms, traditional sauna rooms, and four tennis courts….

The outdoor swimming pools include a children’s pool with slides and sun deck within a resort style landscape setting…

The hotel is a 3-minute walking distance to the Bandar Utama MRT Station, a mere 45-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) by road and a 20-minute drive away from down town Kuala Lumpur. It is the perfect gateway for business and leisure travellers as the hotel is easily accessible from a number of expressways such as North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Federal Highway, New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP).
