Food Review 2022 – In Colonial Restaurant, Intermark, Jalan Tun Razak, KL

So yours truly and her besties, Nathanael and Faiz were over at In Colonial recently for some noms …..

In case you do not know it, In Colonial which is located at the Intermark Mall, along Jalan Tun Razak, is a Muslim Friendly restaurant owned by Muslim owners and it is super packed during lunch hours

The owners created a beautiful colonial type restaurant that serves up some of the most exquisite modern Chinese cuisine….

They have themed private rooms to cater for larger families, private events or business functions.

So my besties and I were over there for tea time and we got to indulge our tastebuds and satiate our stomach with some of their new Dim Sum selections

Premium Steamed Dim Sum….

The Chicken Siu Mai came piping hot and was really so good….

I never really seen Homemade Beef balls served as dimsum , but this is pretty nice and you really should try it

Being a fan of Marinated Chicken Feet, Faiz quickly finished this citing it simply yummy

I liked the Marinated Squid and would be nibbling on the pieces until the whole plate was polished off

The Wonton in Chili Oil was also pretty nice and perfect for those who like a hint of spiciness, though it wasn’t that spicy

I liked the BBQ Chicken Bao… the skin peeled off easily and the bao was so soft while the filling really delicious…

Then there was also the Custard Bao, Pumpkin Lotus Bao and Mini Pandan Bao which my friends finished…

I like Prawn Cheong Fun but am slightly disappointed with this because there was no accompanying prawn sambal which normally compliment the Cheong Fun…

Under the Fried Dimsum category, we ordered…

The BBQ Chicken Pastry is really unique as this is like your flaky pastry curry puff only that it’s feeling is BBQ Chicken… I really liked this

The Beancurd Skin Prawn Roll is one of my favorites even when I don’t quite fancy friend dimsum… it is crunchy and you can taste the prawns

The Beancurd Skin Chicken Roll has a lovely taste to it

The Fried Prawn Dumpling / Sui Kow is also pretty nice and the filling is delicious with a slightly crunchy exterior

The Cheesy Spring Roll is basically deep fried spring roll, with fresh vegetables and lots of cheese inside and this is actually one of the signature dish at In Colonial….

Noodles

The Crispy Yee Mee with Seafood was really good and I would definitely come back for more

Their Fried Kueytiau with Beef HK Style was also lovely with some “char” wok taste and fill flavours… will also order this the next time I am here

So guys, if you are wondering where to bring your friends or family for some yum cha and dimsum, on any weekday (anytime after 2pm- cos between 12 to 2pm, this place is really super packed) or even the weekend, this is the place you should try next…

Lovely gorgeous ambiance and great food… it is just the place you want to be at!!!!
