Food Review 2022 – Blue Sky Restaurant , Centara Grand Ladprao, Bangkok

It is some how such a treat if you are on some rooftop indulging in some good food… and well getting to dine at the Blue Sky rooftop bar was definitely an amazing experience…

The Blue Sky rooftop bar & restaurant is located at the five star hotel Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao, North of Bangkok…

Blue Sky is classy, modern and with somewhat futuristic décor and you can choose to dine in the warm balmy night and enjoy panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline or dine in cool, post and classy comfort inside….

Blue Sky restaurant serves delicious French Bistro type of steak & seafood dishes, and the bar also offers a good set of cocktails and an impressive wine list.

For your information, Blue Sky restaurant have been recognised as one of the most exciting rooftop bars by Architecture Art Design….

My friends and I certainly loved the ambience here… and the food was really truly good!!!

We started our dinner with some hearty-roasted butternut squash, wild rocket & apple salad (THB 420)that came with dried cranberries, cinnamon, pecan, maple & ginger dressing… the taste? Sweet and sour and fruity!!!! Delicious!!!

Then the next dish was the Hokkaido scallop ceviche (THB 680) served with grapefruit, microgreens and baerii caviar… this was really a refreshing dish, one I could not get enough of!!!

Then our 6 freshly shucked oysters Cancale organic no. 3 (THB550) came and it was obvious how fresh and light the oysters were!!!

The oven-baked Arctic cod brandade (THB 550) with came with poached egg, béarnaise sauce and it did taste somewhat like how a fish lasagne might taste like… minus the pasta sheets…

The other dish for our main was the oven-roasted Scottish salmon ( THB 690) that came with super smooth mashed potato & ginger, asparagus, salmon caviar, beurre blanc sauce…

Then we had the Mixed grilled Australian beef and meat platter (THB 2750) which came with about 150gm of Angus tenderloin, 250gm of lamb rack, 200gm of wagyu rib-eye, 150gm of wagyu striploin and 200gm Angus flank steak… the seasoning was superb and with full flavours and the meat? Tender and perfect…..

To end an amazing meal, we ordered the Soufflé cheesecake (THB290)which came with yoghurt truffle cream & fresh berries in a sugar bubble shell and the Mont Blanc parfait (THB290)which came with chestnut & vanilla mousse cream, raspberry jelly….
