We had a pretty good stay at the Thistle Johor Bahru recently when we were over there….

Thistle Johor Bahru is centrally located in the Johor Bahru…. It is also just about 10 minutes away from the Singapore Causeway and is a great destination for meetings and events….

We stayed here after a trip to Legoland Malaysia while on route to Desaru and it was just like 20 minutes away!!! It is also close to the 2nd Link Expressway and Iskandar Puteri….

I also like the fact that Thistle Johor Bahru is just a short drive away from many popular food stalls, restaurants and shopping malls, with easy access to Johor Premium Outlets !!!

My only complaint would be the same most people which is that the hotel is in need of refurbishment and need more housekeeping staff (but then again lack of housekeeping staff is a problem many hotels are facing since the pandemic happened and with the shortage of foreign workers )

My room was a little delayed but we chilled and had some nice drinks and snacks at the lounge area…

Other than that, it was definitely a lovely stay… I had their Deluxe Seaview Room which had an amazing view overlooking the Straits of Johor, affording me glimpses of Singapore in the not so far distance and a lovely view of of JDT FC training grounds…..

My room came with a toilet, a standing shower /bathtub and toiletries… it was spacious and comfortable and I just couldn’t get enough of my view…

The buffet breakfast in the morning served at the beautiful Glass restaurant was pretty good and I enjoyed it too…

The hotel comes with a lovely and beautifully landscaped pool and also a gym for those who need to work out… And I really enjoyed my stay…

There is also a convenience store at the hotel which also a plus points for those who need to get snacks, drinks or toiletries etc

Will I come back? Yeah most probably if I was in the area again… but hopefully the owners decide to refurbish and freshen up the hotel a bit so that our future stay can be even more awesome….
