Happenings 2024 – Karnival Cuti- Cuti Malaysia 2024

WHETHER you somebody who craves adventure, or someone who just want a relaxing staycation or a person interested in cultural immersion, it is time to seize the perfect opportunity to travel and explore, especially with the Karnival Cuti-Cuti Malaysia 2024.


This inaugural event which had been introduced this year by Tourism Malaysia span three days from Oct 25-27 at Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex on Jalan Conlay showcasing the beauty and diversity of Malaysia’s destinations, as well as Malaysian handicrafts!!!!


Organised along in collaboration with the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation (Kraftangan Malaysia), the carnival will feature various attractive travel package promotions from over 100 industry representatives, offering discounts ranging from 15% to 50%.


Themed “Crafting Holidays”, the carnival provides an opportunity for visitors to look for the best local travel deals while enjoying hands-on experiences and activities related to local arts, crafts and cultural heritage.


Deputy Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan launched the event and stated that, through the carnival, visitors can make vacation plans at affordable prices while exploring the unique heritage of Malaysia’s arts and crafts.

Among the attractions on show at Karnival Cuti-Cuti Malaysia 2024 included theme park activities by GL PLay, Resorts World Genting and SuperPark with One World Group at the marquee tent.

Visitors also participated in various activities such as tourism quizzes and lucky draws.


Additionally, carnival-goers and visitors had the opportunity to get up close and personal and enjoy live performances by various local artistes such as singers Dayang Nurfaizah, Shiha Zikir, Zamani Slam, Wani Hasrita, Hazama, Haziq Rosebi, Suki Low and Zynakal, alongside Gimme the Mic virtual talent show singer Raes Arifin.


There are also buskers, cultural dance performances and handicraft and heritage food demonstrations, as well as flying roti canai and teh tarik pouring demonstrations.


Apart from the diverse activities and performances, the carnival will play host to the Saloma Market which has been themed “Classical Malay Village”!!!

This market features over 30 stalls offering various traditional dishes, snacks and unique craft products, creating a nostalgic atmosphere for all visitors. 

For visitor convenience, there will be shuttle services provided to the Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex, which will be available from the Malaysia Design Development Centre (DDEC) and Malaysian Tourism Centre (MaTiC).

Visitors can also use public transport such as the MRT and the KL Hop-On Hop-Off bus.
