A bibliophile feels most at home with books!! The smell of books – yeap, I am just one of those who enjoy sniffing a new book and one of the reasons why physical books still matter to people like me!!!

The smell and touch of books paired with the quiet hum of people browsing for new reads make me comfortable and it does not really matter if I actually walked out with a new book or not, so long as I got to be surrounded by books… if you know what I mean

Anyway I have exciting news for all book lovers! 𝐌𝐏𝐇 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 @ 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐲𝐚 has officially re-opened its doors! Come visit this  newest store and explore a world of books, stationery, and more…

And the bookstore showcases a fresh new contemporary design that projects MPH’s ongoing transformation into a vibrant hub for families and communities.

During the opening ceremony, CEO Martin Cross highlighted the store’s fresh new look, drawing comparisons between the Alamanda branch and MPH’s flagship store at TRX to emphasize their shared modern design and enhanced customer experience.

“This fresh, contemporary design marks the new direction for MPH as an inspirational and modern destination, a haven for the whole family,” he said.

Also present at the launch were Yayasan Didik Negara head of finance Mohd Radzi Jaafar, Albukhary Foundation corporate advisor Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Shahar, Putrajaya education director Ezaiddin Hussain and Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.

Martin Cross said at the heart of this mission is a commitment to spotlighting local authors and publishers, reinforcing Malaysia’s unique contributions to the global literary landscape.

The launch event also celebrated the ongoing support of MPH’s publishing and distribution partners.

Sixteen schools, with two students selected from each, received complimentary gifts, school supplies and cash contributions worth RM200 from Yayasan Didik Negara.

It was truly exciting seeing MPH growing again and make me think of a phoenix rising through the ashes!!!
