Something exciting is happening in the heart of Kuala Lumpur… Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur has teamed up with the brilliant minds behind Err by Bo.lan, a much-loved Thai dining concept from Bangkok, for a very special dining takeover.

From 2 September to 30 November 2025, Level 2 of the hotel will be transformed into a celebration of Thai street food culture… bold flavours, sustainable practices and that unmistakable Bangkok energy, all right here in KL.
The promotion is available for both lunch and dinner… à la carte dishes start from just RM28, with plenty of vegetarian-friendly options too. If you’re going with a friend, the lunch sharing set at RM130 nett for 5 dishes feels like the perfect way to taste more of the menu together.

Err by Bo.lan was created by chefs Bo Songvisava and Dylan Jones, the duo also behind the Michelin-starred Bo.lan in Bangkok. Their food has always been about more than just taste… it’s about honouring tradition, championing sustainability, and breathing new life into Thai culinary wisdom. With Err, they reimagine everyday street food… giving familiar dishes an elevated twist using premium ingredients while still keeping that rustic, heartwarming charm.
Bo’s journey is inspiring… from completing her Master’s in Gastronomy in Adelaide to training in London, then returning to Bangkok to open Bo.lan with Dylan back in 2009. She’s not only an award-winning chef but also a strong voice for food security and Thai culinary heritage, sharing her passion through teaching and even a weekly TV show.

Dylan’s story is just as rich… from his early training in Canberra and Melbourne, his travels through Thailand, and his time in London where he met Bo… to eventually building a life in Bangkok deeply rooted in Thai cuisine. Together, they’ve created a restaurant legacy that celebrates rare recipes, local farmers, and age-old techniques.

So what can you expect at this KL dining takeover? A full menu that reads like a love letter to Thai street food:
- Small Plates… think toasted watermelon seeds with kaffir lime, or salted mackerel with Thai-style jasmine rice arancini.

- Refreshing dishes… from white corn salad with fermented fish to beef cheeks simmered in budu with herbs and chilli.

- Charcoal-grilled highlights… like grilled larb tsukune or mackerel with sweet fermented rice.
- Crispy delights… turmeric fried squid with homemade orange sriracha, or Hat Yai-style chicken wings.
- Wok wok favourites… stir-fried beef with holy basil or deep-fried grouper in three-flavour sauce.

- Curries and braised dishes… a fragrant green curry with chicken and aubergines, or silky braised aubergine with steamed custard eggs.

- Desserts… coconut pudding, soft-serve sandwiches and more sweet surprises.
To complete the experience, there are Thai-inspired cocktails and mocktails… plus a local twist with collaborations from WonderBrew kombucha (two special flavours just for this event: Lime & Lemongrass with Chilli, and Pineapple with Thai Basil) and PaperKite craft beer, Malaysia’s very own award-winning brew.

With all of this happening in the lush setting of Grand Hyatt KL, it feels like the perfect mix of cultures… Bangkok’s street food soul meeting KL’s urban buzz.

If you’re curious to taste it all, reservations are already open… the takeover runs only until the end of November, so it’s one of those experiences you won’t want to miss.
