Many Cultures. One Journey. One Walk. 👠🇲🇾

At the heart of The Walk of Malaysia is a simple but powerful idea — bringing people together through culture, fashion and friendship.

Organised by Amy Chiew, with Datin Narena as Event Director and Nik Harith as Project Director, the annual national cultural-fashion movement travels to different states across Malaysia, highlighting the heritage, tourism attractions and entrepreneurial strengths of each host destination.

The signature Nottingheels walk symbolises unity, empowerment and the collective journey of bringing Malaysia to the world.

And the tagline says it all:

“Many Cultures. One Journey. One Walk – Nottingheels.” 👠🇲🇾✨

From Paris to Kuala Lumpur 🇫🇷➡️🇲🇾

The KL edition also marked another exciting chapter in The Walk of Malaysia’s growing international journey.

The movement made its international debut on 6 March 2026 at Oya Fusion Restaurant in Paris, in collaboration with Nottingheels and CLUME.

The Paris launch was officiated by His Excellency Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim, Ambassador of Malaysia to France, together with Puan Zalina Ahmad, Director of Tourism Malaysia Paris, and Mr Chan Yik Seng from MATRADE Paris.

From Paris to Kuala Lumpur, the message remains clear: Malaysian culture has a story worth sharing with the world.

A Truly International Affair 🌏

🇲🇾 Malaysia
🌴 Borneo
🇻🇳 Vietnam
🇨🇳 China
🇯🇵 Japan
🇮🇳 India
🇵🇭 Philippines

It was a beautiful reminder that cultural differences can become a reason to connect rather than divide.

Through fashion, traditional costumes and shared experiences, participants celebrated what makes each culture unique while walking together towards a common goal.

When Fashion Meets Culture 👗✨

Of course, no Walk of Malaysia celebration would be complete without fashion taking centre stage.

From eye-catching traditional costumes to glamorous contemporary looks, the evening transformed Saloma Kuala Lumpur into a colourful showcase of identity, creativity and cultural pride.

The event also featured personalities and delegates from different countries, creating a melting pot of styles and stories.

Among the Brand Ambassadors were Tang Siaw Leng from Malaysia, Anastasia Doping from Borneo and Nicole Angel S. Butawan from the Philippines.

And with Elegante World International Pageants as an event collaborator, there was certainly no shortage of glamour!

Celebrating Women Who Make a Difference 💪✨

Beyond the runway and beautiful costumes, The Walk of Malaysia KL 2026 also placed an important spotlight on empowerment.

The Women Empowerment Award was presented to Joanne Lam, recognising the importance of celebrating women who inspire, lead and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Meanwhile, Chloe ZhiLing was recognised as Outstanding Teen Supermodel 2026.

Because beauty may open the door, but confidence, character and purpose are what truly make someone stand out.

And the Costume Winners Are… 🏆👑

One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of the Costume Awards, celebrating creativity, cultural representation and show-stopping designs.

The recipients included:

🇲🇾 Miss Costume: Ella Aziz – Malaysia
🇨🇳 Miss Costume: Brand New – China
🇲🇾 Mrs Costume: Victoria Ng – Malaysia
🇵🇭 Ms Costume: Rosehel M. Dalumpines – Philippines
🇵🇭 Elite Costume: Rufina Villena Gelston – Philippines

From Kuala Lumpur to Sabah? 👀

The Walk of Malaysia has even bigger ambitions for the future.

With plans to expand across more Malaysian states, the movement hopes to bring the 2027 edition to Sabah, shining a spotlight on the beauty, culture, heritage and economic opportunities of East Malaysia.

From Paris to Kuala Lumpur, and now towards Langkawi and potentially Sabah, The Walk of Malaysia is proving that fashion can be much more than clothes.

It can be a conversation between cultures, a platform for women, a celebration of heritage and a journey that connects people across borders.

And perhaps the best part?

Everyone gets to take that journey together.

Many Cultures. One Journey. One Walk.
Nottingheels all the way! 👠🇲🇾✨
