The Langkawi Mardi Agro Technology Park functions as a centre for technology transfer and information dissemination concerning agro-industry. It is also designed as an eco-tourism spot for visitors, and is located at the neighbourhood of the Lubuk Semilang Recreational Park with a panoramic view of forested Gunung Raya…

Major attractions there include technology information centre, tropical fruit farms, sheltered hi-tech vegetable farms and naturally conserved surrounding areas for recreational purposes…

The farm is spread over a vast area of 14.2 hectares with over 20 different fruit types, both seasonal and non-seasonal, ranging from star fruit, guava, citrus, mango, rambutan, pulasan, durian, cempedak, jack fruit, longan, mangosteen, dokong, duku langsat and others…

There is a guided fruit farm tour offered on trams with seats and a roof..

The friendly guide will share details about these fruits which have all been grown organically without the use of any chemicals..

There is also a little cafeteria where you can samples some of these fresh fruits…

While we were enjoying our little healthy snack, our guide was also busy weaving a grasshopper which he then made some of us pose with… Then he proceeded to give out rings made with coconut leaves to the ladies…

We also got to feed the goats, and handfeed the cat fishes in the pond… Yikes… I was trying to be brave and try it but I cannot because I got my fingers chomped on and they were just slimy and wriggly… Worse then a snake…

Our guide was brilliant in creating 3D images and made us pose different style for amazing effects.. From climbing a coconut tree to handling some winter melons…
