I love hotel stays… It gives me a change of environment when I need one which I do frequently, a feeling of getting away from the norm…
My hotel stay does not necessarily have to be a nice 4 star or plush 5 star stay, as sometimes boutique hotels and homestays can be pretty lovely, cosy and comfortable as well… But I definitely put cleanliness and comfort as my priority…
So recently I was over in Shah Alam to visit some friends… And decided to stay a night at the Hotel de Art at Section 9 Shah Alam..

Hotel de Art at Section 9, Shah Alam is their newest addition… It was designed with the quirky vibe inspired by ‘hope and imagination’… Hotel de Art at Section 9 Shah Alam is strategically located in Shah Alam’s main financial and commercial district….
Choosing to stay at the Hotel de Arts Section 9, Shah Alam is a great idea because it is very convenient and it is near various eateries, pharmacies as well as walking distance to Plaza Masalam itself… There are plenty of eat around here, too, from Nasi Kandar Pelita, KFC, Family Mart, 7 – 11 and so on… The Blue mosque is also a very short drive…
And if you need to do your laundry, the self service laundry is just right next door…
Checking in was a breeze with the front office staff being polite, friendly and pretty efficient…
I booked myself an Art Queen Deluxe room which was located on the 2nd floor of the hotel and came with a window overlooking the street below and it looked great with the drawing/mural on the wall above the queen sized bed. The room was pretty basic and simple but tastefully done and reasonably spacious….
I got a chance to take a peek at a few other rooms as well as they were all just so charming in their own way…
The ensuite bathroom came with hot shower and toiletries in dispensers… Everything was in great working condition and my room was clean and comfortable…
They no longer provide bottled water in the room in a bid to help reduce plastic waste but you can get water from the dispenser in the hallway on both floors.. There is also an ironing board there for your convenience…
I’d definitely be back again for another stay if and when I have something on in Shah Alam..
This was indeed a lovely and cosy stay and I could walk over to Family Mart for my breakfast when I woke up and felt peckish…
