Sunway Putra Hotel is one of my favourite getaways… Just about 45 ninutes away from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

This five-star hotel adjoins the Sunway Putra Mall and the Sunway office tower and is just across the road from the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC)…

Guests are welcomed at the 9th floor where the hotel’s spacious main lobby is situated… I am always fascinated by the dramatic atrium dome where natural light comes in via the prism-like skylight, no matter how many times I have seen it….

The front office staff are efficient, polite and professional, and will check you in quickly, I was even accompanied to the elevator area where the receptionist attending to me explain how to use the elevator and key card…

Sunway Putra Hotel features nine room types (Superior, Deluxe, Family, Club, Family Studio, Junior Suites and Club Suites, 2 Bedroom Suites and Premier Suite) that are all fitted with conveniences such as complimentary Wi-Fi, LED Smart TV, electronic safe, and mini fridge, including coffee- and tea-making facilities for an efficient stay in Kuala Lumpur.

This time for our little getaway, my buddies and I were staying at the Deluxe King room which was breathtakingly spacious with a king sized bed and an extra bed, since there were three of us….

Our room was soothing and cosy with a white and bluish grey colour scheme.. It was sprawling at 430 sq ft and even with a king sized bed, an extra bed, a sofa and a table, it was still very spacious…

Our bathroom came with a rainshower and a hand held shower and ample toiletries to make your stay comfortable…

The Wi-Fi connection was great and fast, easing our online work and connectivity…

As always, I loved the generous gym and the swimming pool and jacuzzi…

Breakfast was held at the Gen restsurant… But we were contented with the generous spread that include Chinese, Malay, vegetarian and Western fare, besides usual staples like bread, cereal and fruits….

It was also a treat getting to sit at one of the tables by Gen’s expansive windows runing along the curved main dining area, so we got to enjoy the sunrise view as well as sweeping and captivating views of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic skyline…..

For dinner, we were over at the Coffee House to indulge in their signature dishes…

I was pretty impressed with the 7 delicious Asia delights menu which offered diners like me delicious dishes which had been specially crafted by the executive chef from each Sunway Hotel..

They were none other then Chicken Rice from Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, Nasi Lemak Udang Berlada from Sunway Clio Hotel, Fish Head Curry  from Sunway Putra Hotel, Char Koay Teow from Sunway Hotel Georgetown, Cendol from Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya, Char Beef Lok Lak from Sunway Hotel Phnom Penh and Fried Spring Rolls from Sunway Hotel Hanoi..

Since we were at Sunway Putra Hotel, it was only right we ordered their legendary Fish Head Curry (RM50) dish which came served with two plates of steamed white rice, vegetables, ulam and even papadom…

IMG_20200201_201657-01-912x684

Then we also ordered the Deep Fried Spring Roll (RM23) as well as a plate of Char Koay Teow (RM37)… Because… How can I resist.. Lol..

The dishes were all superb and lip smacking good.. I really loved it and thank god.. I had my buddies to help me eat the food up… The Fish Head curry was truly generous and oh so satisfying…..

And so that is it about my recent stay at the Sunway Putra Hotel…
