And so we continue our trip to Central Perak and Kampar where not surprisingly, there are just so much to discover!!!

Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No. 5 (TT5)
Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No.5 or TT5, is known as the last tin dredge in Malaysia…

Built in England by F.W. Payne & Sons in 1938, TT5 was upgraded in 1963 and continued its operation for 44 years all the way until August 1982….

TT5, which is about 40 minutes from Ipoh, is now fully open for visitors to experience TT5 Guided Dredge Tour, panning and self tour inside the gallery and the magnificent view of the landscape..

TT5 has since been proclaimed part of the Kinta Valley National Geopark since 25th October 2018, hence a ‘must visit’ tin mining heritage site in the country.

TT5 Maze Park
Said to be the biggest maze park in Malaysia, you can get ready to be lost in wonder with your friends, family and other half in this uniquely designed maze.

There are 8 distinctive maze elements that are waiting for you to come and discover. Experience the knowledge about types of rocks installed throughout the maze pathway, local plants and, of course, the tin mining history.

Pulau Misa Melayu Cultural & Heritage Village
Pulau Misa Melayu Cultural & Heritage Village is a village that seems frozen in time as the villagers really practice the way of life, as well as the traditional outfits and cultures of their Malay ancestors from olden days…

Pulau Misa Melayu is said to be symbolic too since the location of the village happens to be pretty near the first Perak Sultanate ruling capital known as Tanah Abang.

Visitors here can also enjoy a host of activities from horse riding, archery, feeding the goats, kayaking and watching the village music group known as Dendang Anak perform!!!

UTP Geological Rock Garden
UTP is also in the midst of setting up what would be the first geological garden in Malaysia with boulders brought in from geo parks all over Malaysia and placed according to their ages…

You can also find statues of dinosaurs and such in this interesting and beautiful lake garden….

Note: The UTP Geological Rock Garden will only be completed and expected to open early next year

Each of the unique murals found there also come with a quick response code (QR), so that interested visitors can find out the story behind the mural drawn by the artist….

It is said that the painting of the murals took about 8 weeks from the 21st December 2020 ip to 16 February 2021, under Perak’s State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) budget…
