Happenings 2026 – Pos Malaysia Unveils Stunning Visit Malaysia 2026 Special Stamp Collection Celebrating the Nation’s Rich Heritage

Malaysia’s incredible diversity, vibrant culture, and breathtaking destinations are taking centre stage in a unique and collectible way as Pos Malaysia officially launches its special stamp issue in conjunction with the highly anticipated Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.

Held at the historic Pejabat Pos Besar Lama within the iconic Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, the launch ceremony brought together key tourism and industry leaders to celebrate a collection that beautifully captures the essence of Malaysia.

The special stamp issue was unveiled by Chiew Choon Man, alongside Mohamad Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim and Fiona Liao.

More Than Just Stamps

For collectors, travellers, and proud Malaysians alike, this collection is far more than a set of stamps.

According to Fiona Liao, the special issue serves as a meaningful way to share Malaysia’s story with the world. Through every design, Pos Malaysia aims to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and unique experiences while supporting the national Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.

Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), the collection reflects a shared vision of promoting Malaysia as a world-class destination filled with unforgettable experiences.

A Journey Across Malaysia Through Philately

One of the most exciting aspects of the VM2026 stamp collection is how it takes collectors on a visual journey across the nation.

Each stamp highlights iconic attractions, cultural treasures, and natural wonders from every corner of Malaysia, including:

  • Gua Kelam
  • Langkawi Island
  • Penang Hill
  • Wau Bulan
  • Terengganu State Museum
  • Cameron Highlands
  • Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan
  • Petronas Twin Towers
  • Bukit Melawati
  • Old Palace of Seri Menanti
  • A Famosa
  • Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque
  • Sarawak State Legislative Assembly
  • Rhinoceros Hornbill
  • Proboscis Monkey

Together, these carefully selected designs tell the story of a nation where heritage, nature, culture, and modernity coexist beautifully.

Unique Finishing Touches Collectors Will Love

Adding to its appeal, the VM2026 stamp issue incorporates several premium finishing techniques that enhance both its aesthetic value and collectability.

Collectors can look forward to:

  • Intricate die-cut elements
  • Heart-shaped perforations on the miniature sheet
  • Spot UV finishing that highlights key design details

The miniature sheet also features Wira and Manja, the official mascots of Visit Malaysia 2026. Inspired by the Malayan Sun Bear, the smallest bear species in the world and native to Southeast Asia, the mascots symbolise Malaysia’s rich biodiversity and ongoing commitment to wildlife conservation.
