To be honest, before I entered the the Magic World (Phantamania) , I was pretty sure it was going to be boring…
So since I was part of the Influenzas team and we were there visiting, I trudged along somewhat reluctantly…
Phantamania is located along Lebuh Victoria Penang… exactly on the same road as China House and Sekeping Victoria/ Awesome Canteen…
We were warmly welcomed and given our stickers before being led inside to a oh mai gerd… a mirrored room..Every where you turn there is a reflection of yourself there…
I cheated.. along with my team was the lovely Penang blogger Lia Hasty… I quickly grabbed her hand and followed her since she had been here before and well kinda knew the way… and we got out of the mirrored maze quickly..
…and came to a few different photo opportunity zones… as well as a magician corner where my team mates/ friends had a fun time playing magician and volunteer /victim…
There are about 20 different little corners or zones you can take pictures at in this 2 floor heritage shoplot. Once you have finished exploring the ground floor, you can make your way up the stairs, to more exhibits/ mind blowing illusion picture opportunities until you come to the Ice Cafe…
Here there is a slight drop in temperature, and you can feel the cold just as you push open the castle door to the entrance to the Ice Cafe…
Enter and you will discover a interesting land of ice with igloo, ice bed, and everything cold but they are not real ice though, and are there just for decorative purposes.
Do stop by the Ice Cafe for interesting desserts for some brain freeze at the Ice Cafe …
We got to try a few interesting desserts such as the Crazy Fire Ball RM25, consisting of ice cream rolled in chicken floss, fish crackers, sambal, peanut nuggets and served with some breadsticks and a side of spicy potato chips…
Then there was the Ice Cream Jeruk RM18, that came served with nutmeg, jeruk and all sorts of pickled fruits…
I loved the Mix Fruit Bingsu RM36, with fresh fruits like banana, watermelon, strawberries, grapes, peaches and pineapple…
Last and not least we got a Mango Ice RM15… basicalmy shaved ice and mango puree, fresh mango etc… and this is also pretty good… Love it!!!!
So after having been inside the Phantamania, I have to say it is really a lot of fun and Phantamania is a must visit place when you come to Penang.
