Located just off the Telaga Harbour at Pantai Kok in Langkawi, Paradise 101 is accessible via a very short boatride…

Paradise 101 is a lovely man made private island owned by adventure company Naam about 2 acres big and surrounded by sandy beach with tall swaying casuarina trees smack in the middle of the beautiful Andaman sea….

Yours truly was back here for the second time thanks to Gaya Travel, LADA Langkawi and of course Naam….

Once we got off the boat, we were welcomed with cold towels as well as a refreshing welcome drink… Even Mr Mark Hisham, the boss was there to welcome us…

Paradise 101 creates a safe and pleasant environment, and has a desiccated and well trained crew ready to cater to your comfort and safety… as we had the opportunity to find out…

Paradise 101 is a haven for water sports from swimming, kayaking, jet skiing and even banana boating… Some of the activities are chargeable but discounted for day pass visitors to the island…

You can choose to spend the whole day on the island if you like, as the day-resort facilities are enough to keep you busy and comfortable…

There is an on-site bar and restaurant, offering drinks and snacks… And you will have access to towels, bottled water, changing room facilities, private cabanas, and the sunset deck…

With everything at hand, we quickly changed into our swimming clothes and headed to the beach for jet ski and banana boat.. We were urged to do so as the sky did look somewhat stormy so the supervisor was urging us on before it was too late…

After having the time of our lives swimming, laughing and screaming on the jet ski and also the banana boat, we changed back into our normal clothing and settled down for the sumptuous BBQ dinner prepared for us by the Chef…

Suddenly, the weather took a turn for the worse, it started raining and strong winds brought the rain to us… and the cutleries, plates and glasses were all shivering and moving on the table.. Even our light weight friends found themselves pushed to the floor from being seated on benches..

It happened so suddenly and we got scared, but Mark and his team quickly kept the plates and glasses, moved us inside to an area with bean bags and gave us all a fresh new towel to wrap ourselves with and keep warm…

It was truly a scary but fun experience since we had jokers among our group who likened us to refugees and also immigrants…

However, we were watched over by Mark and his team who tried to keep us as comfortable as they could while waiting for the strong winds, which were part of the Typhoon Lekima that hit the Northern States, to die down and deem it safe for us to head back to the shore on a bigger and sturdier boat…

So yes, I highly recommend Paradise 101 for the fun you can derive from being on a private island and also, vouch for the staff members being professional and reliable when it came to emergencies like that…

On that note, thank you Mark and team, you kept us all safe and as comfortable as you could in that scary typhoon….
