During my recent trip in Bangkok, I was over at the Grand China Hotel…

The Grand China Hotel is a nice and cosy 4 star hotel with 150 well appointed rooms….

The hotel is old but the interior decoration is still pretty elegant with a  harmonious combination of Thai and European style…

I stayed at the Junior suite with a friend of mine, which had two queen sized beds, and ample pillows, as well as a lovely walk in closet, a bathroom and a balcony for two nights…

The room was pretty spacious even with two queen sized beds and can easily accommodate a group of friends or a family consisting of 3-4 persons….

The room remind me of an English Cottage style and I would say it ie above average and pretty well maintained…

The location of the Grand China Hotel is indeed the reason to stay here… It is smacked in the middle of Bangkok’s Chinatown, at the intersection of Ratchawong and Yaowarat Road…

It is always nice to stay in a new place and know the area better and I have stayed in several different areas of Bangkok in the past- Sukhumvit, Siam Centre, Silom, Yan Nawa and now Chinatown…

This means the busy and happening Chinatown street as well as the Ratchawong jetty at the Chao Phraya River are all within your reach /walking distance(you can take the Chao Phraya Express Boat or even the free IconSiam shuttle boat from here)…

There are even a lot of other attractions which are within walking distance such as the Wat Saket, Giant Swing, Rommaninat Park etc etc etc…

The hotel is clean and my room balcony, as well as the 23rd floor and 25th floor offers some of the most  fantastic views over Bangkok’s Chinatown….

… it is definitely mesmerizing whether it is during the day or even at night and I find myself captivated by the views…

The pool is not too big, being more of a plunge pool, but you cannot help but admire the views from the poolside as well…

The breakfast at The Bloom restaurant was pretty nice too, with a pretty good selection of food… It is however not Halal, so those who are particular over  Halal food, please make other arrangements…
