One of the hotels I wanted to check out was none other then the biggest resort in Langkawi, Berjaya Langkawi Resort, having heard a lot of great things mentioned about it…

Set amidst the natural lush green jungle, with the majestic Mat Chincang mountain range as its backdrop and the azure waters of the Andaman Sea as well as the serene palm-fringed beach of Burau Bay, Berjaya Langkawi Resort serves up generous portions of sun, sea, sand, and fun on the island of Langkawi….

The resort arranged for my pick up from the Langkawi International Airport.. It was located by the side of the Mat Chincang mountain range and so it was next to the cable car attraction, a short 20-minute drive from the airport…

Checking in was a breeze after the health SOP and there was a buggy standing by to send me to my home for two nights, one of the Rainforest Chalet there…

With legends woven into its history, every trip to Langkawi for me seems magical, no matter how many times I come to Langkawi, it is never enough…

One of my bucketlist was just to unwind and unravel myself in the blissfulness of a comfortable room of beautiful resort in a rainforest, but not too deep in a forest and Berjaya Langkawi Resort actually made my fondest wishes come true…

My Rainforest Chalet room was lavish and spacious, and came with twin beds, for my friend and me and there was a welcome towel origami decoration waiting for us to welcome us to the resort…

The beautiful 32sqm Rainforest Chalet, as  well as all the other chalets in Berjaya Langkawi Resort are built on stilts with traditional Malay wooden exteriors with the finest contemporary furnishing and amenities for the interiors…. And all came with a balcony..

I personally really loved my chalet as it  was not too far from the main building, it was facing the Andaman Sea and I could look out of the balcony to see the waves crashing to the shore…

And it was merely a 3 minute walk to the huge swimming pool area…  And I mean HUGE…

There is a Jungle Gym there for gym babes and hunks to work on their bodies…

There is also a Little Monkeys Club where parents can ‘get away from their little ones’ and leave their little ones for a few hours for their own time and privacy…

The beach is also huge and private, since Burau Bay is pretty secluded and away from the noisy crowd you can find at Cenang Beach.. You can put on your bikinis and just unwind on the beach with a good book or swim in the designated area if you want some vitamin sea… Do not swim out of the designated area as it can be dangerous as there are jellyfishes around…

It was really perfect… And I was absolutely wondrous of the fact that I got to see squirrels, mynah birds, a sun skink, dusky leaf monkeys and even a hornbill!!!! It is also said if you are lucky, you could even see otters frolicking on the beach and even dolphins if you stay at the chalets on the water…

The studio is generous in size and comes with a bathtub….

The 56sqm Premier Chalet on Water is perched beautifully on stilts over the water with uninterrupted views across the Andaman Sea. Offers a restful, airy ambience while the lush green surroundings of our resort engulf you in a tranquil enclosure for a perfect relaxation…

Psst… If you are lucky, you can see dolphins, and if you are one of those avid fishing fans, you can do your fishing from the balcony of your chalet and bring your catch to the Pahn Thai Restaurant for the chef to prepare it for you…
