I have just manage to catch my breath after indulging myself in a superb and self pampering stay at the breathtaking InterContinental Kuala Lumpur..

Known to be a jewel in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur is definitely one of the most sought after classic locations in the city, making it an ideal urban retreat for both business and leisure travelers…

The beautiful and stylish hotel is within walking distance from the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre as well as to the Intermark, the Linc, Suria KLCC and Avenue K…

My daughter and I were warmly welcomed from the time we stepped through the entrance, by both the grandeur of the luscious lobby, inspired by the beauty of jewels and the warm Concierge staff…

You cannot miss the opulent chandelier cascading 4.5 metres down, creating a breathtaking water-fall like illusion of floating crystals surrounded by four grand columns that are encased in gleaming silver rods and imposing black forest marble….
We were ushered to the reception where a friendly service team welcomed and promptly checked us in…

My daughter though a teenager was still mesmerized by the lobby pond where kois, little terrapins and “bandaraya” fishes swam peacefully…
Here at the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, you can choose to work, rest or play in luxurious comfort in any of the 473 spaciously designed rooms, including 110 renovated Grand Premier Rooms that feature modern, earth tone furnishings and state-of-the-art enhancements….

My daughter and I checked into one of the Premier King rooms and at 269 sq ft, it was huge… And the super plush bed was even bigger then most king sized beds in hotels I’ve been to..
My close friend Oliver who checked into the room in front of mine said it was the biggest king bed he had slept on and swears the bed can fit 5 people…
The room was just so comfortable I would have been happy to stay in for 2 whole days without going anywhere else if I could… Lol…

The en suite large marble bathroom was just as magnificent and definitely pleasing, with a separate shower and bathtub….

At InterContinental, there is just sooooo much to tempt a saint, starting with a selection of restaurants including the award-wining Tatsu Japanese Cuisine, Tao Chinese Cuisine, Serena Brasserie, OneSixFive and Bentley’s Pub (which is not yet opened after MCO closure)…
Psst… I will share on the irresistible mouthwatering goodness of InterContinental Kuala Lumpur in the next post…

Just for your information, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur also boasts eight meeting rooms and two conference venues to host memorable events from an intimate group of 20 or a large conference of 600 people.
I heard that if you are a tourist new and unused to life or getting around Kuala Lumpur, you can experience travel that is authentically Malaysian if you but ask the friendly and knowledgeable concierge team… They are more then willing to share their secrets on how to navigate the
city as a local….

When it comes to relaxation and play, InterContinental has a beautiful and relaxing pool surrounded by lush green landscape and skyscrapers… Then there is the 24 hour fitness centre is equpped with the latest fitness machines and comes with male and female toilet and shower all opened with strict guidelines in place…

Then there is also the the award-winning luxurious ππ¨π¦π©π¨ππ¨π§ ππ©π πͺππ₯π₯π§ππ¬π¬ ππππ«πππ, a private sanctuary located at Level 5 of InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, is renowned for its remarkable signature massages using traditional Malay techniques, combined with Shiatsu, Swedish and Balinese methods…

My masseur Ivy who hails from Yogyakarta was very soft-spoken, and asked if the massage pressure was ok for me.. Thus I certainly had a good relaxing time…
As mentioned, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur is just a short stroll to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and is a short drive to the Embassy Row along Jalan Ampang as well as the financial business addresses along Jalan Sultan Ismail.
It is also just right beside the Ampang Park LRT (Light Railway Transit) which is super convenient for those who want to explore Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur and Selangor) or just indulge in shopping at Kuala Lumpurβs bustling shopping venues such as Suria KLCC, Avenue K, Central Market and Chinatown….
The Kuala Lumpur International Airports (KLIA & KLIA2) are only 50 minutes by car and 35 minutes by KLIA Airport Express from KL Sentral. Putrajaya (Malaysian Government hub) and Cyberjaya technology business district is just a 30 minutes drive by car…
