When we think about having fun in Singapore, one of the must go places would naturally be Resorts World Sentosa, and this means the Universal Studios Singapore !!!!

Universal Studios Singapore is one of my favorite places in Singapore … located on at the Resorts World Sentosa complex on Sentosa, this park is made up of 7 themed zones – Hollywood, Madagascar, Far Far Away (Shrek theme), The Lost World, Ancient Egypt (including The Mummy), Sci-Fi City (including Transformers) and New York (including Sesame Street).
Like all themed parks, each themed zone has its own attractions, dedicated shops, eateries and street entertainment around the theme….
Universal Studios Singapore is a pretty big park with the number of attractions making it perfect for soending a whole day there with your friends and family….
Given how covid has wrecked most of our lives and such, Universal Studios Singapore is now only open between 12pm to 7pm but they will be changing their timing to 11am to 6pm soon (do refer to their website for the most updated opening hours before heading down). A huge part of Madagascar was closed for renovations or to make way for something new (I am not sure) when I was there…

However you can still meet some of the characters from Madagascar along Hollywood Street at the Popcorn van, and take photos with them
Hollywood

The park begins and ends in Hollywood which seems appropriate. Hollywood is about shopping for your favorite characters merchandise (Minions, Hello Kitty, Gudatama, and so on) but there is also a Starbucks here and you can meet characters like Gru and his Minions or Kung Fu Panda here…
New York

This zone is one of my favorites though pretty much subdued because of post -Covid…
I headed to the Sesame Street Spaghetti Soace Chase and then the Lights, Camera, Action special effects show where we got to experience a Grade 5 hurricane….
Sci-Fi City

Sci-Fi City is practically the place with the best attractions at Universal Studios Singapore – TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D battle and Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLON and then for the faint of heart, the Accelerator…

Don’t forget to meet Optimus Prime and join him in being a freedom fighter or go get roasted by Megatron (admit it, some of us are a little masochist sometimes and enjoy getting treated badly)
Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egypt is where the Revenge of the Mummy ride is. If you are lucky, you can also meet some interesting Egyptian characters around this zone too….
The Lost World
The Lost World had some pretty amazing attractions including the WaterWorld live stunt show. Canopy Flyer, Dino-Soaring and the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure (which was temporarily unavailable too)…
Far Far Away

Lets go Far Far Away with Shrek and friends with a “live” show with the donkey and Shrek’s 4-D Adventure. It is gonna be icky since you will get sneezed on… then don’t forget the Enchanted Airways and Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey….
Ask me what my favorite rides are , it would certainly be TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle where you practically find yourself racing through the city, zipping through subway tunnels, along streets and across high-rise rooftops, as you fight to save humanity from the villainous Decepticons as they invade NEST Headquarters to steal the AllSpark…
Then Revenge of the Mummy’s indoor roller coaster is one helluva adrenaline rush ride as you ride into total darkness and get plagued on all sides by huge fireballs, swarms of scarab beetles and an army of warrior mummies, all appearing from the darkness out of nowhere. Can you survive Imhotep’s curse or will you be entombed inside forever?

And how can you NOT take photo with the fantastic cast of characters at USS… I sure cannot resist!!!!
By the way, I was alone for this trip but I had plenty of fun to, and being a single rider can be a ‘fast pass’ ticket also as you get to cut queues and allow the staff to sit you on rides whenever there is space…
Here is how you can save!!! Book your tickets with KKday using my code ‘LIVELIFE5’ for 5% off and you do not need to queue for tickets!!! How awesome is that!!!!
