Hotel Review 2022 – Jambuluwuk Thamrin Jakarta, Indonesia

Checking in was a breeze and the reception area was definitely bright, warm and welcoming…

You might however get a little startled with the
Ondel-ondels outside the entrance standing guard… for your information the Ondel-ondel is a traditional big doll from Betawi’s culture which are utilized for livening up festivals in Jakarta and also for welcoming guests of honor, usually in pairs….

Jambuluwuk Thamrin which is located in the heart of Jakarta approximately 334 metres away from the centre offers Colonial charm that comes with 3 stars modern facilities right in the bustling heart of the Jakarta Business District, just about 2 minutes away from the City Landmark Bunderan HI and Monas.

Jambuluwuk Thamrin offers 4 different room categories which guests can choose from…Every guest room is comfortable, stylishly appointed with comfortable beds and the regular hotel amenities such as minibar, safety deposit box, telephone, air conditioning, hairdryer, refrigerator, study/work desk and chair…

During my 2 nights stay there, I stayed at the Suite room which was prettily designed with Batavia Colonial style…

My room was pretty spacious at 35 square meters, and pretty in shades of white and hints of tiffany green/tosca green, and a big photo of Old Town Jakarta Sunda Kelapa Harbour with the majestic looking huge sunda boats at the wall behind my bed…

My room came with an attached bathroom with shower and bathtub, and toiletries ….

Other facilities include complimentary Wi-Fi connection, LCD TV with YouTube and movies access….

You can also request for the use of iron and ironing board if you need it….

Jambuluwuk Thamrin hotel has a pretty cosy small roof terrace, a tiny “home” gym for those needing their workout and even a small sauna to aid in sweating it out….

Those who smoke or wanting a respite from the scorching hot sun may also make use of the dipping pool and vertical garden behind the restaurant area… it might be small but it is still a nice spot for the kids to splash about, the adults to dip in or just take photos and the area is pretty!!!

The hotel provides a reasonably good spread of buffet too as well as lovely pastries, traditional Indonesian food and your daily cup of jamu!!!

And if you feel like ordering some ala carte dishes for lunch or dinner, the Frestro Asia Restaurant at the ground floor lobby area serves some of the most delicious dishes too!!!

Definitely highly recommended to try having some meals here!!!

My friends and I indulged ourselves in a oh-so- satisfying lunch that tasted good and hit all the right spot!!!

Nearby attractions to the hotel include Plaza Indonesia (0.2 miles), Sarinah Thamrin Plaza (0.2 miles), and Selamat Datang Monument (0.3 miles). And you can walk to many shops and food places from this hotel!!! Absolutely loving the convenience here!
