Hotel Review 2024 – Amari Bangkok

The Amari Bangkok is a luxury hotel offering more than 500 rooms in the heart of the Pratunam shopping area with the Bayoke Tower, Thailand’s tallest building, mere minutes away….

Amari Bangkok is located right across the Platinum Fashion Mall in the Pratunam district, making it the perfect location for shoppers… there is the wholesale clothes market at its doorstep and  just a bit farther from the Platinum Fashion Mall via the R Walk, you’ll find Central World, Siam Paragon, MBK, Gaysorn, Gaysorn Amarin, Big C and more! Whether you’re in the mood for bargain shopping, or looking to splurge on luxury brands, you can find everything within a short walking distance from Amari Bangkok.

The BTS Skytrain Chitlom or Siam is also just about a 15 minutes stroll away.  And with all the malls around, there are plenty of dining options in the area and some bars in the evening as well as a night market in front of the Paladium World Shopping Mall… but even the hotel itself has some of the best dining options itself!!!

I arrived for my stay about noon and stepping  in the impressive lobby, my eye was drawn to the mesmerising hanging installation that reminds me of falling rain. i think it is known as a “Water of Life”, installation/ “chandelier” made out of 847 pieces of individually handcrafted Murano glass.

As I was checking in to the Club Premier room, I was entitled to check-in and check-out at the Voyager Lounge for a VIP check in. There was a glass of champagne awaiting and checking in was a breeze and there was a guest relations officer who would bring you to your room…

My room on the Club floor was spacious,  gorgeous and contemporary designed with modern furniture reflecting the local setting… Club rooms come with Club Siraa (located on the 9th floor) benefits, and for a rough idea of what to expect, you can start of your day in the Club Siraa with an excellent selection of food and beverages for breakfast, relax in the evening with some evening cocktail…

My Club Premier room is of course equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay from a plush and comfortable bed with ample plush pillows, well stocked minibar with soft drinks and snacks, free wifi, etc

My bathroom is also spacious and is a comfortable place for freshening up, showering, cleaning or doing my make up ….

The view from my room faced Ratchaprarop Road and I could see that part of Bangkok’s skyline…

It was also such a pleasant surprise getting a “tiffin” of local Thai snacks…

The staff at Amari Bangkok are friendly and helpful, and service here is definitely top notched.

Guests here at Amari Bangkok are also spoilt when it comes to recreation with a magnificent free-form pool on the eighth floor which is  surrounded by a lovely garden….

….and their FIT Centre / gym is definitely one of the best gyms around !!! It is a holistic space that takes care of your physical fitness and relaxation with the latest cardio machines, free weights and I think there personal trainers there to assist you with your workout or if you prefer boxing, aerobics and yoga training…. Don’t forget to add your relaxing sauna or steam session at the sauna / steam rooms….

Amari Bangkok offers a very generous breakfast  spread for their guests at Amaya Food Gallery on the 4th floor…..

…but because I had access to Club Siraa, I had my breakfast there which was a different and more premium spread that included a smaller but more premium buffet spread and also a generous menu spread from:-

*Western dishes you can order include Avocado Egg, Truffle Benedict and Mushroom Onsen

*And from the Healthy Choices, I was really torn between ordering their Granola Bowl, Berry Fruit Salad, Duck Orange Salad and Oatmeal

*You can even order Nasi Lemak from the Asian Items or Rendang Chicken or some Thai Fried Rice…

There is no shortage of good food to indulge in at the Amari Bangkok…  there are at least 7-8 F&B outlets at the hotel….

And personally my favourites would be ChomSindh and NILA…

ChomSindh offers rich Thai flavours where freshwater and seafood delicacies come alive. If you enjoy seafood prepared with traditional Thai recipes, revered and passed through generations – ChomSindh would be the place to dine in!!!  I loved dining here surrounded by a cosy ambiance with the decor reminiscent of a Thai shophouse…

….and the signature dishes – Crab Curry with Wild Betel Leaves and Samut Songkhram Seablite , ChomSindh Seafood Boiled Rice and the Old Fashioned Stir-Fried Holy Basil with Prawns are to die for!!! (Seriously!!!!! I can eat this and die happy)

On the other hand, if you appreciate spices, you should take a culinary voyage to coastal India at NILA.

NILA is a beautiful Indian Portuguese kind of restaurant that serves up delectable dishes that are rooted in the traditions of the Malabar coast, a story of the region’s diverse heritage and I had a happy tummy after dining here!!!!
