Travel dreams are taking flight once again as the 59th National MATTA Fair officially opens at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, bringing together an exciting world of holiday destinations, travel deals and unforgettable experiences for visitors.

Running across 10 exhibition halls, the National MATTA Fair is once again the place to be for anyone planning their next getaway… whether it is a domestic adventure, a quick regional escape or a dream holiday halfway across the world.
A Boost for Malaysia’s Tourism Momentum

The opening of the Fair comes at an important time for Malaysia’s tourism industry as the country continues to build momentum towards its ambitious Visit Malaysia 2026 targets.
Malaysia welcomed 42.2 million international visitors, representing an 11.2% increase compared with the previous year, while the positive momentum has continued into 2026, with 21.2 million international arrivals recorded in the first half of the year alone.

Under the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, Malaysia is targeting 47 million international tourist arrivals and RM147.1 billion in tourism receipts by the end of 2026. The 59th National MATTA Fair aims to play a direct role in supporting this national tourism push by making travel more accessible while encouraging both domestic and international tourism.
A World of Travel Under One Roof
With 10 exhibition halls filled with travel opportunities, this edition of the MATTA Fair brings together the country’s largest gathering of licensed travel agencies, tourism boards, hotels and airlines.
Visitors can explore offerings from 12 State Tourism Organisations (STOs) representing destinations across Malaysia, as well as 16 National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) from around the world.
Taking centre stage as this edition’s International Favourite Destination is Taiwan, giving visitors the opportunity to discover more about the destination’s unique culture, food, attractions and travel experiences.

Whether you’re looking for beach holidays, food adventures, family-friendly attractions, nature escapes, cultural discoveries or that long-awaited international holiday, there is plenty to explore… and hopefully, plenty of great deals to discover too!
Malaysia Aviation Group Returns as Official Airline Partner
Adding further excitement to this year’s Fair, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) returns as the Official Airline Partner and Premier Sponsor, anchoring the Fair with its growing portfolio of travel and lifestyle offerings.
Meanwhile, RHB Bank, the Fair’s Official Bank Partner, is offering an expanded range of travel rewards and financing options for visitors looking to make their next holiday a reality.

According to Nigel Wong, President of MATTA, the encouraging performance of Malaysia’s tourism industry presents new opportunities for the entire travel ecosystem.
“The positive tourism performance we are seeing this year is encouraging and presents opportunities for the entire tourism industry. We are actively seeking to build on this progress by making travel more accessible and trustworthy.”
As a Strategic Partner to Visit Malaysia 2026, MATTA will continue working closely with the Government and industry partners to support Malaysia’s national tourism agenda and strengthen the country’s position as a preferred destination for travellers.
