Named after Portuguese explorer, Ferdinand Magellan, the Magellan Sutera Hotel is a 5 star luxury resort with 456 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites that overlook beautifully manicured gardens or the azure blue skies and soothing beauty of the South China Sea..
The grand entrance is a majestic longhouse style lobby; an architectural tribute to the Rungus natives of Sabah…. It has been built and beautifully furnished with fine timber finishing and traditional handicraft artifacts….
Checking in was a breeze and I was shown to my room which faced the garden and the sea… The view from my balcony was really beautiful…
The room I stayed in was elegant and very plush… It was warm and relaxing.. The beds came with a huge throw cushion, 2 down pillows and a smaller cushion which made it so so comfortable… I felt oh so cocooned…
The room comes with separated shower and bath area… Ok.. The bath was a bit too sexy with a wooden window just separating the bathroom and the bedroom…
So yes, as mentioned, the Magellan Sutera Resort is now available for stays while the Al Fresco restaurant and Ferdinand’s are open for dining…
The Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club is also operating from 7am to 7pm and Marina Cafe from 10.00am to 10.00pm. Come and enjoy outdoor dining with glorious panoramic views of the South China Sea and beautiful islands of Sabah….
Sutera Harbour Resort operations are in accordance to the recommended SOP guidelines…
The swimming pool at the Magellan Sutera Resort is beautifully landscaped and surrounded by greenery, flowers and palm trees alongside white, sandy beaches overlooking the South China Sea and the tropical islands nearby and you can swim safely under the watchful eyes of experienced and friendly life guards…
Of course, for those who enjoy island hopping or snorkeling, be sure not to miss out joining the day trip to.
Pulau Sapi where you can check out the beautiful small island and the wonderful underwater world there…
I spotted pomfrets, wrasse, parrot fishes and sergeant major damselfishes there and they are just so friendly…
Breakfast at Five Sails restaurant is also a sumptuous served buffet where you can choose what you want to eat from the buffet line and the staff will dish it out for you…
