I have always been partial to Italian food so I really wanted to dine here…

After much contemplating, my friend / date for the night and I decided to settle for Chef Daniele Rossetto’s special menu which is the Grilled Black Angus Tomahawk served with  Garden Vegetable, and roasted potatoes..

The dish is complemented with beef juice reduction, mustard sauce and maldon rock sea salt and is priced at  rm380 nett for 2 pax…

Before the main dish was served, we had some side dishes such as the Amouse Bouche – a flavourful pumpkin, beetroot puree with croutons and small bits of smoked salmon on top…

Then since I ordered the soup of the day, which happened to be mushroom soup, I was really enjoying the mushroom soup which was just how I envisioned it to be and more…..

Then the waitress served a scoop of
Raspberry Sorbet – which I was a little bit surprised until she said it was to cleanse our palate before indulging in the main course flavours….

The Grilled Black Angus Tomahawk came presented on a wooden block and it was huge… I was just thinking it could feed 3 or even 4 people with that portion….

The meat was medium rare and very juicy… The waitress got us an extra black pepper sauce which was just delicious when mixed with the beef juice… Since we Malaysians always like our dishes with a bit more spice… Hehehe….

Dining at Ferdinand’s was a beautiful candle light experience in a classy dining room and we had a lovely view of the Magellan Sutera Resort’s generous free form swimming pool which can turn from dark, blue to turquoise with the lighting…

We finished the meal with a creme brulee and a tiramisu which tasted just as good…
