When we are traveling, sometimes we usually just need a hotel just to dump our luggages, a place to get some good night sleep and take showers (correct me if I am wrong), since most of the time will be spent on the go sight seeing and indulging in local culinary delights…

So during a recent trip to Penang woth my daughter and some friends, we decided to check into the snazzy and affordable newly opened Brown hotel, right at the heart of Georgetown….

Location wise, you have nothing to complain about as there are not that many much better locations then where the Brown Hotel is located… The Brown Hotel is located just across the road to the famous Padang Brown food court (I still remember the times my mom often bring me here to eat…), and it is also just mere minutes to Komtar, to Pulau Tikus, to Ayer Itam, to anywhere in Penang!!!!

The lobby was located on level two..  And the staff were pretty efficient at what they do…

The Brown Hotel has 51 well appointed rooms with 4 different categories – standard single, standard twin, standard queen and family room that comes with all the frills and trimmings of creature comforts such as hairdryer, coffee/tea making facility, desk, in room safe and a 40 inch flat screen TV. Each room has it’s own toilet and  shower with amenities provided….

What’s most important is that the rooms comes with nice clean sheets and a very comfortable mattress…

My daughter and I got one of the Standard Twin rooms that came with 18 sqm of space, with two single beds to fit us both comfortably, since she got her own bed and I got my own bed….

Our bedroom came with its own bathroom with a standing shower…

My friends took the Standard Queen room which was equally cosy and nice…

What else can you ask for in a boutique hotel that comes with the comforts of a deluxe hotel minus the price tag… I definitely love the interior designing as well as they look so hip and stylish…
