Malaysia’s quirkiest and most delicious fun run is officially making its return! This coming 16 August 2026, runners, families, durian lovers and culture enthusiasts can once again gather for the highly anticipated Kampung Tunku x Dking Durian Sarong Run 2026 at SS2 Park, Petaling Jaya.

Back for its second edition, the event is a collaboration between the office of Kampung Tunku state assemblyman Lim Yi Wei and , Malaysia’s leading durian brand. Combining fitness, community spirit, Malaysian culture and everyone’s favourite king of fruits, the event promises a morning filled with fun, laughter and unforgettable memories.

A Celebration Rooted in Malaysian Heritage

Named after Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kampung Tunku SS1 is one of Petaling Jaya’s earliest neighbourhoods and carries a rich historical legacy.

Over the decades, the area has been home to notable figures including descendants of National Laureate Usman Awangand Yap Ah Loy, alongside respected civil servants and corporate leaders who contributed to the nation’s development since the 1960s.

The Durian Sarong Run reflects this uniquely Malaysian heritage by bringing together people from all walks of life in a colourful and joyful community celebration.
