So I decided to play traveler and tour guide to some friends recently during Raya Eid Adha.. So the few of us checked into Travelodge City Centre located opposite Central Market KL…

To be honest, I did not think much of the hotel at first… But when I entered the premises and checked in, I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised and wowed…

The hotel used to be known as the Geo Hotel but it was bought over by the Travelodge group and given a through makeover with every room decorated with a wall paper “mural” of the Kasturi Walk…

The result is a swanky, fun stay equipped with all the amenities that you need for a easy, relaxing stay – including our signature high-quality bedding, engaging and attentive service, complimentary WiFi and easy connectivity to transportation hubs and iconic destinations, such as KL’s bustling Chinatown and the famous Central Market…

The Pasar Seni LRT Station located right next to the hotel, and the renowned Petaling Street Market is within walking distance from the hotel… So what else can you ask for… The Travelodge City Centre hotel is also perfect for business travellers, since it is easily accessible to central business districts such as Kuala Lumpur City Centre, which is just 300m away and takes about five minutes if you choose to walk…

There are 4 different room categories –  Superior Queen or Twin rooms, Superior Queen with Balcony, Family rooms (comes with 2 queens, 1 queen & 2 single or 3 single beds) and the Suite rooms…

I checked into a 24 sqm Family Room that came with 2 queen beds and can accommodate up to a maximum of 4 persons…

The rooms comes with city view, housekeeping service, cable / satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, work desk, free bottled water, coffee and tea-making facilities as well as an in-room safe box

The hotel is linked to MyNews convenience store so you can access the convenience store anytime and comes with a self service laundromat….

It was such a nice feeling going for a morning walk around Petaling Street and exploring the areas there…

Some of the places of interest within walking distance are the General Post Office, Central Market, River of Life, Petaling Street, Dataran Merdeka, Kwai Chai Hong, Guandi Temple, Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Sin Sze Si Ya Temple, and many other hipster cafes etc….

And yes, I love the rooms as well as the convenience of the area… So now you know where to stay next in KL
